Unbridled Vision: Euphemia McNaught’s lifelong study of horses throughout the 20th Century

October 8th celebrates the 112th anniversary of the birth of Euphemia McNaught, the Peace Region’s most prominent 20th century artist.
The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie is proud to present an exhibition of her artwork centered in Euphemia’s imagery of horses and spanning approximately 90 years of art making.

Join us for a complimentary coffee or tea and learn about the latest artwork on display. The public is welcome to join the artist and curator of the Art Gallery’s newest exhibition for a 1 hour artist presentation and panel discussion. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet artist Dean Drever and guest curator, Robert Enright in person.

Join us afterwards for the opening reception of the exhibit from 3 - 5:00 pm.

Part-time Position: Reception/Visitor Experience

Must be available to work two weekdays per week (15 hours/week)

The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie is seeking a part-time employee for visitor services this Fall. We're looking for someone who is outgoing, friendly, and comfortable working with the public in a highly professional manner. They will be expected to develop thorough knowledge of the Art Gallery’s exhibitions and programs and provide brief, informal introductions to visitors.  Must be available to work two weekdays per week.

The Montrose Cultural Centre opened its doors in June 2009. It is home to the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, the Grande Prairie Public Library and Esquires Coffee House. It is a place for the community to gather in support of the arts and literacy in Grande Prairie.
