The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie is hosting a celebration event and art exhibition to thank the hundreds of participants who have created artwork in The Carlstrom Family Green Space in the past year.

On February 21, 2015 between 1 pm and 4 pm the Art Gallery will celebrate the community’s creativity and contributions with an event held in the Multi-Purpose Room on the lower level. Everyone is welcome to attend and all artists may take their displayed artwork home on that day. Read more




Art for the CuriousChildren age 6-12 years old are welcome to explore the Art Gallery’s current exhibitions through a facilitated tour and create art inspired by the exhibitions. This program includes interactive activities in relation to current exhibitions and a facilitated visit to the Art Gallery’s Green Space. STONE CARVING WEEKEND WORKSHOP
Use soapstone and carve your unique stone sculpture. Exhibiting artist Grant Berg takes you through the process of chiseling, filing, sanding and oiling to reveal the stone’s natural beauty and the story it holds.

The Montrose Cultural Centre opened its doors in June 2009. It is home to the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, the Grande Prairie Public Library, Esquires Coffee House, and the Teresa Sargent Hall. It is a place for the community to gather in support of the arts and culture in Grande Prairie.
