Art for the Curious This Friday

Explore the Art Gallery’s current exhibitions through a facilitated tour and create art inspired by the exhibitions. This program includes interactive activities in relation to current exhibitions and a facilitated visit to the Art Gallery’s Green Space. The Green Space is the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie’s interactive gallery and self-directed studio space where everyone is invited to make art in response to the themes and exhibitions on display.

Victoria Day - ClosedThe Art Gallery of Grande Prairie will be closed Monday, May 18th for the Victoria Day holiday.
This weekend we will be open Friday 10 - 5 pm, Saturday 10 - 5 pm, and Sunday 1 - 5 pm. We hope you'll visit us with your friends and family to see the new exhibitions.

Pushing the boundaries between art disciplines, exhibiting artist and art educator Ken HouseGo offers a weekend of material exploration combined with an art-making process inspired by location and memory. Through the engagement with personally meaningful collectables, participants might give form to a visual narrative that delightfully surprises.

The Montrose Cultural Centre opened its doors in June 2009. It is home to the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, the Grande Prairie Public Library, Esquires Coffee House, and the Teresa Sargent Hall. It is a place for the community to gather in support of the arts and culture in Grande Prairie.
