The exhibition, Our Wilderness is Wisdom, features the work of First Nations artists Tanya Harnett, Alex Janvier and Curtis Johnson. This exhibition is currently on display at the Grande Prairie Public Library and is part of the Art Gallery's Travelling Exhibition Program.

Our Wilderness is Wisdom was curated by First Nations artist and educator Heather Shillinglaw for the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Travelling Exhibition Program. This exhibit was created and organized by the Art Gallery of Alberta.

August 25, 2013 is the final day to view the two exhibitions, Suzy Lake: Whose Gaze Is It Now? and They Made A Day Be A Day Here. If you haven't had the opportunity to view the work of the 13 featured artists, be sure to visit the Art Gallery before the two exhibitions are changed.

The Montrose Cultural Centre opened its doors in June 2009. It is home to the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, the Grande Prairie Public Library and Esquires Coffee House. It is a place for the community to gather in support of the arts and literacy in Grande Prairie.
