Opening November 20th at the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, Heather Shillinglaw’s Buffalo Girl is a survey of the studio work of this artist of Metis, Cree/Dene heritage. During the past few years, Shillinglaw has also entered the world of Public Art with major commissions in Saskatoon and Fort McMurray. If you are interested in Public Art, how and why it is made, Shillinglaw will share her experiences in this CARFAC Professional Development talk. Join us and learn how to make Public Art.

The Montrose Cultural Centre opened its doors in June 2009. It is home to the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, the Grande Prairie Public Library, Esquires Coffee House, and the Teresa Sargent Hall. It is a place for the community to gather in support of the arts and culture in Grande Prairie.
