ArtFEST is This Weekend
ArtFEST is this weekend! NOW is the time to register because you don't want to miss out on this year's art symposium and workshops at ArtFEST!
Learn from the four guest artists, Leslie Bell, Twyla Exner, Zachari Logan & Clement Yeh, plus all your meals are included on Saturday. Pick a workshop to attend on Sunday and learn directly from one of the guest artists plus take in free art demos all day long. Enjoy the natural surroundings at Camp Tamarack and a new art experience! Check out all the details and register on the Art of the Peace's website.
The Art of the Peace ARTFEST is held every 2nd year to promote networking and education amongst artists and art lovers in the BC and Alberta Peace region. Guest speakers are brought into Grande Prairie to bring new creative, innovative and inspirational speeches and workshops to area artists. Living in northern Alberta and BC often limits access to nationally or internationally renowned artists so guest speakers are brought into Grande Prairie to bring new creative, innovative and inspirational speeches and workshops to area artists.
In addition to the speeches and workshops, the May 2016 event will also include art demonstrations, which are open to anyone that is interested, such as two artisans doing a ‘sheep to shawl’ demo. Other suggested demos include chainsaw carving and raku pit firing.
Partnering with Camp Tamarack has provided the opportunity to offer a new way of incorporating art into our surroundings in addition to the beautiful, relaxing surroundings in which to network and learn.
Thank You to the Artists! Art Auction 36 Raised $44,075!
