More ARTery Thank Yous

ARTery, the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie’s downtown, outdoor, night time window exhibition has just ended. The fabulous catalogue is soon to be published, and the dvd of the closing celebrations will soon be available. Today we would like to thank everyone involved again. The exhibition was made possible by the efforts of the guest curator Edward Bader, writer Robert Enright, and the artists exhibited; Christian Bök, Michael Campbell, David Hoffos, Micah Lexier, Karina Aguilera Skvirsky, Anne Troake, Bill Viola, C.Wells, and John Will.

The exhibition was also made possible by the loan of the windows of the venues involved; Urban Home, Bama Furniture, Tim Horton’s Administration Building, Picture Perfect, Midwest Furniture, Curry’s Jewellers, and Wonderland Toy and Hobby.

The Living Christ Youth Mission generously discounted the rental of the Gaiety Theatre and its equipment. Midwest Furniture contributed video equipment.

The Grande Prairie Curling Club, the City of Grande Prairie, and the Telus building made the title sign possible.

The Downtown Association assisted in a variety of ways.

The closing party was supported by Pink Rain Hair Lounge, Quinn’s Landscaping, Urban Home, and Alberta Computers.

Curry’s Jewellers sponsored travel from St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, to allow artist Anne Troake to speak in Grande Prairie.

Security for the exhibition venues and visitors was made possible by a significant donation from Apex Security.

Project funding was granted by the Canada Council for the Arts.

The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie recieves major funding from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, The City of Grande Prairie, and members and supporters like you.
