Welcome our New Executive Director, Daniel Becker

The Board of Directors of the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie is pleased to introduce Daniel Becker as the new Executive Director.

Originally from Lacombe, Alberta, Daniel has 9 years of experience in the museum field. Daniel’s primary focus throughout his career has been the ongoing learning and critical examination of the Arts and Culture field. While studying for his Masters in Cultural Heritage and Museum Studies at Ulster University (Belfast, Northern Ireland,) Daniel researched the importance of art organization’s roles in the well-being of communities. This theme has been a constant focal point in every organization Daniel has worked within.

From Daniel Becker, Executive Director:

I’m thrilled to accept the opportunity to work with the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie in this leadership position.

The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie is an organization that has a dedicated Board of Directors, skilled and passionate staff, with strong partnerships in the community. I believe the AGGP can be a vital part of the process of healing and recuperating from what has been almost 3 years of uncertainty and stress that has touched every corner of the world.

The AGGP is strategically placed to assist with that process of healing by creating opportunities for education, engagement, and entertainment. We will ensure that our efforts are inclusive and considerate and representative of the interests of all members of society.

From Christine Quinn, Chair of the Board:

Daniel will be a valuable addition to our team, and we look forward to working with him in delivering the Gallery’s mission and engaging the community in all things Art! Please drop by the Gallery and meet Daniel and say, “Welcome to Grande Prairie.”

Welcome, Daniel!
