We are looking for an energetic individual who will support the Curator of Education and Public Programs in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating aspects of the education and public programming activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and teaching of Art Quest: The Space Between, the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie’s summer art camp for children. The candidate will also provide tours of our contemporary art exhibitions to diverse audiences.

The Art Gallery of Grande Prairie has received a grant allowing us to hire an assistant curator. The position will support the Curator and assist in the planning and organization of the acquisition, storage, preservation and exhibition of work by individual artists and groups of artists, collections and related materials including the execution of exhibition themes and designs to promote audience development and education at the Gallery.
