Annual General Meeting 2024

We are pleased to invite you to the Prairie Gallery Society’s (o/a Art Gallery of Grande Prairie) Annual General Meeting. Join us as we look back on a successful year and help us towards another one to come!

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

When – Thursday, September 19, 2024
Time – 7 pm
Where – Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, located within the Montrose Cultural Centre, 9839 103 Ave

Registration not required. Refreshments will be served.

Everyone is welcome to attend and view the presentation, as well as:

  • Launch of the 2023-24 Annual Report
  • Summary of 2023-24 Audited Financial Statement
  • Announcement of the 2024/25 Auditor
  • Meet and Greet with our new Executive Director and Chief Curator, Jessica Groome

Only current Members of our organization are eligible to participate in:

  • Voting on the 2024/25 Board of Directors

Financial Statements

Copies of the 2023-24 Financial Statements (audited and accepted by the Board prior to the meeting in accordance with our Bylaws) will be available and presented at the meeting.

 

Nominations to the Board of Directors

Deadline: September 16th by 12 Noon, MST

You may nominate yourself as a candidate for a vacancy on the Board.

To do so;

  • Email your intention, and a bio up to 250 words, to info@aggp.ca.
  • Organize for two (2) current members of the Gallery to separately email their support of your nomination to info@aggp.ca.

This will be a similar process if you wish to nominate someone other than yourself.

  • We must receive all the information by the deadline to accept the nomination.
  • PLEASE NOTE: We accept nominations from the floor at the AGM, however all documentation must be received before the meeting starts.

Our preference is to assist and inform potential new Directors, so please reach out to us in advance of the meeting if you’re interested. We’d love to hear from you!

New Business

Deadline: September 16th by 12 Noon, MST

Members may ask for items to be accepted into New Business. Those items must adhere to the parameters of an AGM as outlined by the Alberta Societies Act. To have your items included, email the information of new business to info@aggp.ca.

 

Proxy Vote

Can’t make it to the meeting? Vote by proxy!

Deadline: September 16th by Noon, MST

You can allow for another member to vote on your behalf.  To do so;

  • Email which member has your proxy vote to info@aggp.ca
  • That member must also email that they accept that responsibility to info@aggp.ca
