Notice of Annual General Meeting

The Prairie Gallery Society, operating as the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie, will host its Annual General Meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at 6:00pm in the Classroom at the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie’s Montrose Cultural Centre location. Light refreshments provided.
The Classroom Space can be accessed via an elevator located in Gallery 3 or stairs in Gallery 5. There will be ample signage and AGGP personnel will direct attendees. Staff will be available at the Front Desk to register new and old members as needed: the cost is $20.00 for one calendar year. Only active, registered members have voting rights. Everyone is welcome to attend and view the Executive Director’s presentation, as well as:
- Launch of the 2025-26 Annual Report
- Summary of 2025-26 Audited Financial Statement
- Announcement of the 2026/27 Auditor
Only current members of the Prairie Gallery Society/AGGP are eligible to participate in:
- Voting for the 2026/27 Board of Directors
Members in good standing may ask for items to be accepted into New Business. These items must adhere to the parameters of an AGM as outlined by the Alberta Societies Act. Include your items by emailing info@aggp.ca no later than noon on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for a Director-at-Large position on the Board of Directors, please write info@aggp.ca and we will provide you with the necessary information. Deadline for nominations Tuesday, September 15, 2026 by 5:00pm.
You can vote by proxy if you’re unable to attend the AGM in person. You must email info@aggp.ca no later than noon on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 with the name of the member whom you have assigned your vote. That member must confirm via email that they accept the proxy vote no later than the end of business on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
