Artist Talk w/ Aeris Osborne

Join last years Alberta Artist in Residence, Aeris Osborne SUNDAY, APRIL 23rd at 1PM as she talks about her art practice. Her exhibition YEG Old Houses is on display outside the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie on the TREX WALL until May 12th.
About the exhibition:
Telling Edmonton, Alberta’s capital city residential history. 10 architectural styles of historical old houses in 8 Edmonton’s historical neighborhoods transform into 12 pieces of bold modern impressionist style paintings. The exhibition includes Edmonton heritage landmarks like Alberta’s first premier residence Rutherford House, Magrath Mansion & The Works Headquarter, and other local historical houses that were built from the 1900s to the 1930s in Highlands, Glenora, Westmount, Strathcona, Alberta Avenue, McCauley, Garneau, Riverdale.

Artist Bio:
Aeris is a self-taught visual artist, a Hong Kong -Canadian immigrant who moved to Edmonton,AB, Canada in 2007. She is the 2021-2022 Alberta Artist In Residence / Art Ambassador appointed by the Government of Alberta at Feb 2022 and her newest project is ‘Alberta Old Buildings’. Her previous YEG Old Houses was awarded a 2022 art grant from Canada Council For The Art.
