Guided Tour of ‘Mercury’ with Dr. Shawn Pinchbeck

On Saturday, April 6th from 2pm – 3pm, join Dr. Shawn Pinchbeck for a guided tour of the exhibition Mercury, the first solo-exhibition of works by filmmaker, sound artist, musician and graphic designer Parker Thiessen.

Participants will explore Parker’s extraordinary visual and audio landscapes in this unique guided tour.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY 

Dr. Shawn Pinchbeck is the Recording Studio Manager and a sessional instructor in Music Technology at Grande Prairie Regional College. He is a recording engineer, electroacoustic music composer, sound designer, lecturer, curator, performer and new media artist. His diverse and award winning career in sound spans more than 30 years, with his creative focus being to explore many facets of audio and music technology with his live and studio recordings, performances and interactive sound installations.
